In an encyclopedia, it is not right or proper to use diminutive names for political figures. In addition, this creates problems for search engine users. Eg if I write "Bob Menendez" I will lose references to "Robert Menendez". This confusion is avoided by using the established names (Donald Trump would have less appeal if he had many names in many versions).
