==Βιογραφία==
Γεννήθηκε στις 31 Δεκεμβρίου 1948 στην Βοστώνη της Μασαχουσέτης. Άρχισε να τραγουδάει από μικρή σε εκκλησιαστικές χορωδίες επηρεασμένη από την [[Μαχάλια Τζάκσον]]. Αργότερα, σε εφηβική ηλικία συνέχισε να τραγουδάει σε διάφορα συγκροτήματα. Την δεκαετία του 1960 ακολούθησε το στιλ της Τζάνις Τζόπλιν. Παράτησε το σχολείο για να κάνει ψυχεδελική μουσική. Αποδήμησε στην Γερμανία, όπου εμφανίστηκε στο μιούζικαλ ''Hair''. Εγκαταστάθηκε στο Μόναχο και έμαθε Γερμανικά. Έγινε γνωστή στην δεκαετία του 1970 και 1980 με μεγάλες επιτυχίες.
Απεβίωσε στις 17 Μαΐου 2012 στο Κι Ουέστ της Φλόριντα.
