Η Μινεσότα (αγγλικά:Minnesota) είναι η δωδέκατη σε έκταση και εικοστή πέμπτη σε πληθυσμό πολιτεία των ΗΠΑ. Βρίσκεται στο βόρειο τμήμα των ηπειρωτικών ΗΠΑ και συνορεύει με τον Καναδά. Είναι γνωστή ως η πολιτεία των δέκα χιλιάδων λιμνών, λόγω των πολλών λιμνών και ποταμών. Έχει πληθυσμό πάνω από πέντε εκατομμύρια κατοίκους από τους οποίους το 60% κατοικεί στην μητροπολιτική περιοχή Μινεάπολις-Σαιντ Πωλ (αγγλικά:Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area), γνωστή και ως δίδυμες πόλεις (Twin Cities).
