This language is everywhere recognised as „Macedonian” and using that name „Slavic-Macedonian” is simply a persecution of the Macedonians and their language. Before you criticise someone of "fanaticism", "persecution" or even "pseudosciencie" (sic) you should understand some things.
*First of all, a term (here "Macedonian") don't have the same meaning in every language. For example, in our case, here in the Wikipedia of the Greek language and as a matter of fact, in that specific language, the usage of this term ("Macedonian") on it's own is strictly connected with the Greek region of the larger area of Macedonia, whith Greece and Greek culture.
*Moreover, in Greek language when we address someone simply as "Macedonian", we mean a Greek from the geographic region of Macedonia. When we call a dialect sole "Macedonian" we usually mean the ancient Greek dialect. When we use the term "Macedonia" we mean (right or wrong) 99% of the cases the [[Μακεδονία (ελληνικό διαμέρισμα)|Greek part]] of the wider geographic area of Macedonia. That's why i.e. a person from [[Κορυτσά|Korçë]] belonging to the [[Έλληνες της Αλβανίας|Greek minority of Albania]] will never call himself as "Macedonian" but as "Epirotan", because in the Greek consciousness, Korçë isn't a part of the Macedonian historic/geographic region but of the [[Ήπειρος|Epirotan]] one. And finally, when we are talking in Greek about "Macedonian" culture we are referring to the local culture of the Macedonian Greeks from antiquity till modern days.
*As you can see, the term "Macedonian" is very closed connected in the everyday life of a Greek-speaking person with Greece, Greeks and Greek culture. That's why in '''Greek language''', when we are reffering to a person from the ethnicity, the language and the culture which is known to the rest of the world as Macedonian, we are using the compound word Slavomacedonian. It's not pseudoscience, not a persecution or a fanaticism. It's how we are using our own language.
And let me give you some examples from other sides (aka other languages):
*I don't know if you are Macedonian (see? When I use a language different from my own I respect it's rules), but if you are, then I'm sure you're very familiar with terms like "Grekoman", "Aegean Macedonia", "Solun" etc. So, let me inform you, if you don't know, that even though those terms are strictly connected with the everyday life, the culture and the consciousness of a Macedonian-speaking and a Bulgarian-speaking person, for Greeks are insulting, especially when they are used in Greek (and as about Wikipedia also in a language different from the couple I've mentioned). I can give more examples of the "behaviour" of other languages towards Greeks and Greek people but it's not the right moment.
*As about myself, I fully respect that a person of Macedonian (as you can see in English I use the worldwide term, not the one of my own language) or Bulgarian origin consider these terms as inseparable part of his/her everyday language, and I also have the good faith that this happens because it's just the way he/she learned to call them.
That's why I don't have problem if someone in his/her own language use terms about Greece and Greeks that I may found inappropriate. But the other hand, I demand the same attitude from non-speaking people when I am doing the same thing, because it's just the way I've learned some terms about other regions and countries.
