O Williams ήταν το opening act στη συναυλία Diamond Jubilee που πραγματοποιήθηκε έξω από το παλάτι του Μπάκιγχαμ στις 4 Ιουνίου 2012. Κατά το τέλος του Αυγούστου επίσημη ιστοσελίδα του, άρχισε μια αντίστροφη μέτρηση για την απελευθέρωση των πληροφοριών σχετικά με τις νεότερες solo υλικό του, με μια εικόνα του προσώπου του και το μυαλό του παρουσίασε καθημερινά καθώς η αντίστροφη μέτρηση λήξει.Tο άλμπουμ του Take the Crown έκανε το ντεμπούτο του στο νούμερο ένα στα άλμπουμ του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου καθιστώντας Ουίλιαμς δέκατο νούμερο ένα άλμπουμ.
