Μπέιζιλ Ράθμποουν
Ο Φίλιπ Στ. Τζον Μπέιζιλ Ράθμποουν, MC (αγγλικά: Philip St. John Basil Rathbone, 13 Ιουνίου 1892 - 21 Ιουλίου 1967) ήταν Βρετανός, γεννημένος στη Νότια Αφρική, ηθοποιός του θεάτρου, της τηλεόρασης και του κινηματογράφου. Η καριέρα του έλαβε φήμη, αρχικά, στη Βρετανία, εμφανιζόμενος σε σαιξπηρικές παραστάσεις,[3] κατά τ' άλλα εμφανίστηκε κατά τη διάρκεια της καριέρας του σε πάνω από 70 ταινίες, δραματικές, Swashbuckler και περιστασιακά και σε ταινίες τρόμου.

Οι χαρακτήρες που υποδυόταν, συνήθως, ήταν μοχθηροί και κακοί, χωρίς ίχνος ήθους, όπως για παράδειγμα στην ταινία The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938). Παρόλα αυτά, ο πιο γνωστός του ρόλος ήταν ως Σέρλοκ Χολμς,[3] σε 14 ταινίες του Χόλιγουντ, μεταξύ το 1939 και το 1946, αλλά και σε ραδιοφωνικό σόου.
