Ογκίεγκ
Οι Οκίεκ Okiek (Ogiek: [oɡiɛk]), που μερικές φορές ονομάζονται Ογκίεκ (Ogiek) ή Άκιεκ (Akiek) (αν και ο όρος Άκιεκ (Akiek) μερικές φορές αναφέρεται σε μια διακριτή υποομάδα), είναι μια εθνοτική και γλωσσική ομάδα που έχει την βάση της στη Βόρεια Τανζανία, τη Νότια Κένυα (στο Δάσος Μάου) και τη Δυτική Κένυα (στο Δάσος του Όρους Έλγκον).

Το 2000, ο εθνοτικός πληθυσμός των Οκίεκ (Okiek), εκτιμάται σε 36.869 άτομα, αν και ο αριθμός αυτών που μιλούν την γλώσσα Άκιεκ (Akiek) ήταν με τα βίας 500 άτομα.[3] Πολλοί ομιλούντες τα Ογκίεκ (Ogiek), έχουν υιοθετήσει τις γλώσσες των γειτονικών λαών: οι Άκιεκ (Akiek) στη βόρεια Τανζανία τώρα μιλούν την γλώσσα των Μαασάι και οι Άκιεκ (Akiek) από το Κινάρε (Kinare), στην Κένυα, τώρα ομιλούν τα Γκικούϋου (Gikuyu).
Οι Ογκίεκ (Ogiek), είναι μία από τις διάφορες ομάδες των κυνηγών-τροφοσυλλεκτών στην Κένυα και την Τανζανία, στους οποίους έχει εφαρμοστεί ο όρος «Ντορόμπο» («Dorobo» ή «Ndorobo» - όρος προέλευσης των Μαασάι και που τώρα θεωρείται υποτιμητικός).

Οι Ογκίεκ (Ogiek) έχουν υποβάλλει πολλές αξιώσεις εναντίον της κυβέρνησης της Κένυα, προβάλλοντας την άδικη μεταχείριση, ειδικότερα ότι έχουν διωχθεί παρανόμως από τα εδάφη τους.[4] Η Timsales Ltd. εδώ και πολύ καιρό, ασχολείται με την αποψίλωση των δασών στην περιοχή.[5] Ανήκει εν μέρει στους συγγενείς των πρώην προέδρων Κενυάτα (Kenyatta) και Μόι (Moi).[5]
