Well, the point is: there was a common practice, both in Europe and America, during the second half of 19th century called "spinning tables", that consisted in tables and other home objects that moved in an unusual way '''apparently''' by themselves. Many frauds were found out, it's true, but many, many researchers also defended that, despite of it, there were cases that could only be explained by extra-physical interferences. Kardec, as we know, was one of them. And the only one to elaborate a vast philosophical doctrine from this idea. Anyway, I liked your changes in Allan Kardec article!
