Το iPhone XS Max είναι το πρώτο μεγάλου-μεγέθους iPhone σε μορφή bezel-less. Ως το 2017, το iPhone Χ δεν είχε μεγαλύτερη παραλλαγή. Μετά την κυκλοφόρηση του XS και XS Max, το X είχε διακοπεί (η διάρκεια ζωής του ήταν μόνο 10 μήνες, γεγονός που το καθιστά ως τη συσκευή ναυαρχίδα με τη συντομότερη θητεία στην ιστορία του iPhone.)
