Εύη Γκοτζαρίδη

Η Εύη Γκοτζαρίδη γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη και μεγάλωσε στο Παρίσι. [3] Είναι ιστορικός της οποίας το έργο επικεντρώνεται στην ιρλανδική και ελληνική ιστορία του 20ού αιώνα. [4]

Το βιβλίο της με τίτλο Trials of Irish History έλαβε εξαιρετικές κριτικές. [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] Έχει επίσης συγγράψει ένα βιβλίο με τίτλο A Pacifist's Life and Death, που αποτελεί την πρώτη ιστορική βιογραφία που περιγράφει λεπτομερώς τη ζωή και τα επιτεύγματα του Γρηγόρη Λαμπράκη. [13] Ο Λαμπράκης ήταν πρωταθλητής, γιατρός, πολιτικός και αφοσιωμένος υπερασπιστής της δημοκρατίας και της ειρήνης στην Ελλάδα. Χτυπήθηκε θανάσιμα στο κεφάλι με ρόπαλο από ανθρώπους του δεξιού παρακράτους, λίγο αφότου είχε εκφωνήσει την κεντρική ομιλία σε μια αντιπολεμική συνάντηση στη Θεσσαλονίκη, στις 22 Μαΐου 1963. Κριτικές Επεξεργασία

Οι ακαδημαϊκές κριτικές του Trials of Irish History ήταν συνολικά θετικές με περιστασιακές επικρίσεις του ύφους γραφής. [5] Ο Ντέιβιντ Φιτζπάτρικ του Trinity College στο Δουβλίνο περιέγραψε το βιβλίο ως «ιδιόρρυθμο», αλλά ήταν «ένα εξαιρετικά ζωντανό». [8] Ο Μάρτιν Πάουελ το χαρακτήρισε ως «αντιεθνικιστικό» στο ύφος. [12]
