Το Behind the Sun είναι ένα single από τα The Uplift Mofo Party Plan και What Hits!? των Red Hot Chili Peppers. Αρχικά το τραγούδι θα είχε κυκλοφορήσει ως single το 1987 αλλά η EMI πίστευε ότι δεν ταίριαζε στον ήχο του συγκροτήματος και έτσι κυκλοφόρησε το 1992 για να προβάλει το best of άλμπουμ What Hits!?. Έφτασε στο #7 του U.S. Modern Rock Tracks και είναι το μόνο τραγούδι με κιθαρίστα τον Hillel Slovak που συμπεριλήφθηκε σε chart του Billboard.
