:::{{re|geraki}} Thanks, that's reassuring for Severus at least - at present there are no Greek-language sources cited there. I'd be interested to know how those same volumes spell the names of "Valerian", "Vetranio", "Valentinian", "Valens", "Avitus", "Volusianus", etc. (is there a list of emperors at the back maybe?) to see whether beta is used for (any of) them as well. I think it would be helpful, where the modern and ancient orthographies differ, to give the ancient version alongside the Latin names in the lead sentence.
