Κωνσταντία Γουρζή

Η Κωνσταντία Γουρζή (γενν. 31 Μαρτίου 1962, Αθήνα) είναι Ελληνίδα συνθέτης και διευθύντρια ορχήστρας. Είναι καθηγήτρια μουσικής και χορωδίας στο Πανεπιστήμιο Μουσικής και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών στο Μόναχο.

Γεννημένη στην Αθήνα, η Κωνσταντία Γουρζή έλαβε τα πρώτα μαθήματα πιάνου σε ηλικία επτά ετών. Σε ηλικία 13 ετών, εισήλθε στο Ωδείο Αθηνών όπου σπούδασε σύνθεση και ορχηστρική τέχνη αλλά και πιάνο. Από το 1987 έως το 1992, συνέχισε τις σπουδές της στο Hochschule der Künste Berlin όπου ίδρυσε το πρώτο της μουσικό σύνολο με τίτλο attaca berlin.

Κατά την διάρκεια των σπουδών της στο Βερολίνο, Γουρζή παρακολούθησε μαθήματα με συνθέτες όπως οι Péter Eötvös, Hans Werner Henze, Wolfgang Rihm, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Walter Zimmermann ; και με μαέστρους όπως οι Michael Gielen, Carlo Maria Giulini, Bernard Haitink, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Günter Wand. Ένας σημαντικός καθηγητής ήταν ο Diether de la Motte. Από το 1988 έως το 1992, η Γουρζή παρακολούθησε μαθήματα του Claudio Abbado στην Φιλαρμονική του Βερολίνου. Από το 1993 έως το 1996, εργάστηκε στενά με τον György Kurtág. Το 1992 και το 1994 κέρδισε το Γερμανικό Βραβείο Μουσικής και το 1995 κέρδισε το δεύτερο βραβείο στον Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό για Μαέστρους Σύγχρονης Μουσικής στο Παρίσι. Η Γουρζή έχει λάβει αρκετά διεθνή βραβεία, για παράδειγμα από το Ίδρυμα Ωνάσση και από την Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst. Το 2008, έλαβε το πρώτο βραβείο από το Ίδρυμα Christoph-und-Stephan-Kaske για το έργο της ως μαέστρος και συνθέτης και για τις καινοτόμες ιδέες στις ερμηνείες της.

Η Κωνστάντια Γουρζή είναι καθηγήτρια μουσικής και χορωδίας στο Πανεπιστήμιο Μουσικής και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών στο Μόναχο από το 2002.
